On May, 5th 2001 the 1st edition of my website was online. It was optmized for a 17"-tube-screen at a solution of 1024 x 768 Px, which was very usual at this time. The self-edited site was made of html-files and embedded jpg-pictures, only. No scripts were used at all.
The showed projects were not data-based-called; they were added directly in the final online html-document in a rotational way. According to this website-updating got more and more complicated by the project's numeral increase.
Starting at the 1st page all following ones were showing the same background-picture, done in 1999: The skeleton-bearing of Münster main-chase (Hauptsparkasse) outer stairway designed by Prof. D.G. Baumewerd.
As recurrent icon I choose a flour-bag with changing labels (e.g.: home, back, mail). It was an ironic reference regarding my surname Mehl (German flour-translation). The bag-symbol was used as a link-button at all pages. In general the button was leading one step back or activating the mail-client. This website-version was online since summer 2007.
